20 years ago I met a girl and her name was Maria. She had a really great sense of humour and we went to school together for 4 years. 20 years later I photographed her wedding and it was awesome. Starting with the fact that Maria’s and Chris’ friends came from 17 different countries, continuing with the food which was amazing and not forgetting the dancing, heartfelt speeches and good wine. Congrats guys, it was a privilege!
Maria, saying hi to her fans from the 2nd floor.
They got engaged in Japan, during cherry blossom season so Maria decided to wear this kimono during the getting ready part of the day.
One of my favourite shots of the day.
Maria’s dad walked her down the aisle and her mom followed holding the train.
Chris was sooo excited!
An involuntary almost-group shot.
A lithuanian-austrian-portughese-romanian friendship sandwich.
And a Norwegian compliment that helped the tears flow.
Maria’s dad was a little bit emotional.
And then we went for a short photo session, searching for the cherry blossoms that were the theme of the wedding.
The speeches were beautiful.
And then the fun and games begun!
