    Bartolomeu talks about how cooking has always been a big part of his life, starting with his grandmother and mother who both taught him about traditional recipes in their native Brazil. A philosophy teacher by trade, he left Brazil several years ago to come to the Netherlands and open a food business. He believes the best thing about cooking is that food can bridge the gap between different cultures. I totally agree as stories about our cultures back home and expat lives started flowing so much easier when we sat and enjoyed the tastiest brazilian snacks.
